Western Louisiana Jaunt

Earlier today I took a trip to De Ridder, LA to take care of some business. Here's what I saw.

What look's to be a "tree tunnel" is an optical illusion. Trees are close to the track, but there is an overpass at the top that gives it the tunnel effect.

Love the KCS depot and caboose. Those clay tiles are a dead giveaway that it is KCS. The depot looks to have been added on in recent years due to the variation in the brick colors.

Great photos Mark. We have about 1 mile of trackage rights on the KCS in Greenville. I enjoy seeing KCS trains with their variety of power.
