Recently completed another prototype ops session. This one was set on the CSX A&WP route in 2008. We had a number of locals including rock trains to the loaders at Florida Rock in this one. This is a very interesting route in that it is part CTC (Centralized Traffic Control) and part TWC (Track Warrant Control). The lone dispatcher for all 174 miles had his hands full all day for 11 hours of running (that's on a real clock not a fast clock).

We are also gearing up for our next Intro Events where new members learn about running in an operating session. This will take place on July 19th and 22nd with qualifying runs to follow over the next two weeks behind that.

Before all of that, I will be hosting a live Q&A session on our Teamspeak server to answer any and all question about VORA and what we do. This will take place on July 17th starting at 8pm and we will go until the last question is answered.

I did get a question that gets asked frequently from a member at another site regarding the sims we run. Right now we run sessions for MSTS and Railworks and will soon be adding a third sim. We actually recreate a day right down to the last detail with exact consists that ran the day we are recreating.

Easiest way to think of this is if it happens in 1:1 scale it happens in a VORA session. You work with all live crews (no AI nonsense), yardmasters, MOW Crews (yes we had welding crews out on the A&WP--have you seen CSX track?) and Dispatchers. We provide complete training and hours of enjoyment in every session.

If you want to join in the live Q&A send me a PM right here at this forum and I will get you the info you need to join in and to get answers to all of your questions starting at 8pm on 7/17. If you want to reserve a place in the upcoming Intro let me know that too as space is limited and we are already getting reservations.

Thanks for reading,

Nick
