Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows of any distinct differences between DOT 111, 117 and DOT 105, 112 tank cars that are consistent among manufactures. Specifically, anything on the outside that could help me tell the difference by looking at them.

Another question I have is what are the main differences between AAR and DOT classifications?

Breaking into the rail world and want to learn as much as I can, thank you!
