That is definitely some bad track. Ever seen pics or vids of the Maumee and Western up in Ohio? It's mighty bad as well.
I found video and pics of worse tracks but they were in other, developing countries -- not a really fair comparison.

Still would be nice to see!
Interesting how people ran the stop sign to avoid waiting about 15 seconds for that short train.
Is there something wrong with me? I stop and wait when a train, even a street car, is coming down the tracks?
It is hard to imagine that tracks could be worse than these but you guys would know . . .
Not sure when this video was taken but it was added to YouTube in 2009:

To operate on track like that is borderline criminal behavior.
There is no excuse to allow track to deteriorate that far.
Foregoing basic maintenance simply equates to negligence.

I agree, simple maintenance would keep them in safer condition
It isn't that big of a deal. It is FRA excepted track obviously, so no passenger or haz mat operation and 10mph speed limit. It looks like one short section where the sub-roadbed has given way. The rest of the line looks fine.
Certainly needs to be top priority to get MOW out, but what we don't know is how long it has been like that, or how long it was until fixed.
