I can see why the consist-ruining flat car is on the rear,no HEP,but i wonder why the extra fuel,i guess they figure they may have trouble with delivery.BTW, i've been in the 106, "Shoshone", gorgeous inside, mosltly original,1920's or there about.

I've never seen the UPP 3008 bulktainer car before, anyone got a pic of it?
I've ridden in the UP cars, they are always in immaculate condition.

If those con-tankers are hauling diesel, shouldn't all 3 of them have placards? (Combustible 1993) Maybe they are a water supply for the train? It's only a wild guess...I really don't know.

Ed, We mus have passed each other over there. I got there and they were just pulling the first car out, then I came back later and it was all out like in your photo.

That flat car looks like it has container system, like on a ship, where the blue racks can hold any type of tank, oil water or whet ever.

Brandon,
You could try getting some over off of K-5 (Walcott dr.). Take I-435 north from I-70 on the west side of KC(out by Kansas Speedway) to the Walcott dr exit. The tracks and K-5 run parallel for a ways or you could go up to Leavenworth KS. There is a park between the tracks and the river. It's on the east side of the tracks so you should have good light there.

Wonder what route they'll take back...probably the same one down or any idea if they'll run up through Wichita and Herington.
