<p>Union Pacific Railroad will strengthen Illinois' transportation infrastructure by investing nearly $17 million in the rail line between Manlius and Edelstein, Ill. The project, funded entirely by Union Pacific without taxpayer dollars, began July 10 and is scheduled to be completed by the end of August.</p>

Hmm, no taxpayer dollars? Wow never have seen a Class One railroad do that before! Anyways... I do not get any reasons for UP Railroad to even fund for their Chicago transportation. I supposively think that Union Pacific is a great, great Class One, but I don't need UP to fund to a economical failure which is Chicago, why not Indianapolis or somewhere in Northern Indiana, they are more industrial and need the funding too.
