We've had some nice temperatures here the past few days. Of course, I can't stay at home when it's 70+ degrees and the sun's out.

It was, for awhile. Back in 1991, a train derailed on the bridge, CSX took up the second track between Bardstown Junction and Coral Ridge. I've seen some articles online about the derailment, I'll have to find them and post the links to them here.

I think the crews like the slugs for certain reasons. Quieter ride, for one, if I remember right.

Yep, they'll put that slug on the nose everytime, if they get the chance. Smoother, quiter, and cooler in hot weather. Here's one from back in January here on the Chattanooga Sub:
