Trying Something New

[Eastern Railfan]

I had been meaning to try this and finally got around to it.

This effect was done by setting the shutter speed for 0.5 seconds with my lens zoomed all the way in at 40mm. After depressing the shutter, I zoomed all the way out to 17mm in one swift motion before the shutter closed.
