I took some vacation days and my wife still had to work, so yesterday I decided I'd head up to Cajon Pass. All the videos are from my iPhone. I did use a mount for all except the first video.

As soon as I got there and was deciding on where to park, a UP train started to descend the hill on the UP Main, so I grabbed my iPhone and videoed the train.

I decided to park at Silverwood and spend some time there. I set up my laptop with ATCS Mon to find where the trains would be. Got a BNSF Freight heading down the hill on Main 2. This time the iPhone was mounted to the Tahoe's window.

The next train was a BNSF Stack Train climbing the hill on Main 3. This time I mounted the iPhone on a fence post.

Shortly after that on the UP Main a light power move headed down the hill.

Next I was getting ready for a BNSF Freight climbing the hill on Main 1 when a BNSF Manifest come sneaking around the corner on Main 2. The met just past my location.

Next is another BNSF Freight descending Main 3.

Next up was another BNSF Freight descending on Main 2.

Next was a UP Manifest on the UP Main with middle DPU's.

Then out of the blue a BNSF Hy-Rail popped around the corner descending on Main 3.

Next ATCS Mon showed a train climbing the hill on Main 1. I was going to grab some food, but I figured I'd wait till the train arrived. It took quite a while for it to show up.

I had shut the Tahoe off while I was videoing all of the trains. But this time it wouldn't restart. It took me a while to get it up and going, and I was still working on it when another BNSF Freight came up Main 1. So I did what any good railfan would do and stopped working on the Tahoe and recorded the train.

After about 2 hours I got the Tahoe running and went and got that lunch I was going to get, and then headed home. Even with the car trouble it was a good day on the pass.

Hope you enjoyed. I had a fun time.
