The L&NW has been keeping pretty steady, but it's about to get busier!
We are in the process of building our very 1st transload site 1/2 mile north of I-20 in Gibsland. A temporary site has been established in Athens where fracturing sand for the oil-field business will be transloaded. Our 1st sand cars should be arriving next week. Everyone is hoping to have the big transload site (called the Iron Bridge Rd Intermodal Site) up and running around the end of Q3 this year (but the rains we've been getting lately could delay that).
Otherwise, our steel mill keeps bringing in loads of billets, the chemical plant keeps bringing in chemicals, the plywood mill (I hope) will send out more plywood as building season gets cranked up, and our other customers will hopefully be building up for a stronger 2011.
