I was wondering if anyone on here knew what the average fuel consumption rate is/was for an EMD 16-710G3B-T2 engine, since I can't seem to get a hold of anyone that knows it. I'm working on a proposal for a high-speed rail service for Western Canada, and I was hoping to use MP's MP40PH-3C as one option, but there's no information on what amount of fuel they burn at idle, half-power and full throttle. Everything else I can get online, but if there's someone out there who has a good idea how much these things burn, I'd love to know.
Why not contact the manufacturer? There are operating costs other than fuel they could help you estimate.
