I was able to chase the Duncan Turn a couple times this week and was happy to get a few shots that I had on my wishlist. Hard to photograph this railway in the summer as the ROW gets pretty overgrown, I don't think they are doing any kind of vegetation control this year.
SRY 128 nearing Chemainus with 4 loads and an empty ballast car in tow:
Northbound at Nanaimo River with 4 empty grain cars from Top Shelf Feeds and 2 empty tank cars which carried dust control for use on the forestry roads:
A lite engine move passing by Nanaimo Station which has just reopened after being gutted by fire in 2007. The Young Professionals of Nanaimo took on the task of raising the funds needed to rebuild the historic building. It now houses a pub with a section to be used as the VIA station when passenger service resumes.
