Abilene Ks Railfan

Went on a "little" road trip with my good friend and neighbor Walt, to catch a westbound UP power move EHNSIG (Herington Ks-Salina Ks Grain). We set up just north of Navarre, on the BNSF Strong City sub, to start our chase. the first 6 shots are from there. Consist was NS 4025, NS 1111, UP 7950, UP 5272.

Next, I shot the individual units as they crossed the Smoky Hill river @ Enterprise Ks.

The next 4 shots are various pacing shots between Enterprise, and Abilene.

A quick stop at the east end of the BNSF yard for the next ones

We then hotfooted it a few miles west of Abilene, on the UP Salina Sub at the abandoned Sand Springs pumping station, and got the consist as they approahed a meet with an eastbound UP grain train.

A few moments later, UP 7893 rolls by

DPU on the train, was UP 5382
