Street-running trains in urban or suburban always create a fascinating scene, be they on narrow gauge or standard gauge metals.

Here is a short film of street running in Switzerland, on the Bremgarten - Dietikon Railway, which started as an overland, interurban tramway in 1902 but developed into a proper suburban railway with wider profile trains over the course of the last 118 years. This line is just a stone's throw from Zurich main station, but most railfans don't have it on their radar. The street-running section has shared right of way with cars and pedestrians as well as grade-separated sections and is about a mile long.

Here a short film, taped just a few days ago, about this "best kept secret" in Switzerland. The whole line is actually quite scenic, not just the tight street-running section:
