It was something like 107 or 108 yesterday, so I went out around 6 am today to stay out of the heat. These are from around Moredock Lake on the UP Chester Sub in Illinois.

A Couple More From Moredock Lake
Here are two more from the Moredock Lake area. The sun was getting high and the photos were starting to get worse.
Maeystown, Illinois
Here's a couple from around Maeystown, IL. It was getting hot, maybe 90 degrees by 10:30 am.
Thanks for looking.

Nice. I'm going there tomorrow morning (150th birthday celebration railfanning!). I think I'm going to check out the overlooks in Valmeyer and Fults. Today I was up on the Hannibal and it was dead. NS's OCS got held up, so it never came.

Corn isn't looked so good either. Is that ex-Missouri Pacific track?
Been very hot here too, I've been doing My railfanning from home during this heat wave

The NS OCS was supposed to be on the NS Hannibal District at Hannibal?

Yes. It got delayed in Bellevue, OH. On an aside, I went to the Chester Sub today to celebrate UP's 150th Anniversary (good excuse for railfanning

) and it was one of the best days I've had in a while of train watching. Photos will come soon.
These are neat. I quite like the one with the SP unit and the reflection in the water.
107! That is time to go home and keep cool. Nice morning though.
