Railroadforums.com is a free online
Railroad Discussion Forum and
Railroad Photo Gallery for railroaders, railfans, model railroaders and anyone else who is interested in railroads. We cover a wide variety of topics, including freight trains, passenger and commuter railroads, rail news and information, tourist railroads, railway museums and railroad history.
Recently we have been regularly hit by spammers in the "Heads Up" forum.
As much as the spam may anger you, please don't post a reply. A reply in the thread it makes it a little more difficult for us moderators to delete the spam and ban the spammers.
In the past, I have reported spam, but it seems I can't find the "Report post" function anymore. How can one do so in the future?
I'm doing more spam patrol than posting lately. If we could ban some domains it would help.
A spammer had the nerve to post a reply to this thread. I have been using the moderator's "ban" option. I don't know whether or not it prevents future spamming. This month I too have been doing more spam patrolling than posting.
The "Report Post" button is the black triangle with an exclamation point inside the triangle, located on the bottom left side of each individual post.
Spam is only good........on a plate!!

You can ban by ip address, that will prevent the spammer re-registering and re-spamming. You can also ban a range of ip addresses, as well.
Use the spam-o-matic. It gets all of their posts and bans in one easy step. Fun in warped way....

I really hate spammers. On a forum I moderate, I am known as the Spaminator...
