I have a couple new videos documenting operations on the Simpson Railroad both are "from the cab" perspectives.
"First Things First" shows the beginning of the workday where the guys start up the engine and begin the day with some switching before heading out to Mill 5:
"The Mill 5 Turn" depicts the morning run up to the mill at Dayton and return to town. Then they spot the loads at Mill 3 before tying down for the day:
Neat sense of place perspective.
I love shortlines so I have to give that video a thumbs up. It helps us who model current shortlines a better viewpoint of how they are actually operated.
