My name is Rowan Kinnane and I am a documentary filmmaker from Tasmania, Australia which I do as a hobby.
I have a video project on the go at the moment about some of the largest steam locomotives of the ATSF that have been preserved around the USA, so far filming has been done in Kingman, Arizona, Topeka, Kansas, Santa Fe and also in Amarillo but I would like to include a story about locomotive 3751 and feature scenes of it in action in recent years, plus also it’s return to steam in the 1990’s.
The locomotives that have been filmed so far are:
ATSF 5000
ATSF 5030
ATSF 3759
ATSF 3463
There are more that I would like to cover in this project as well including the 3751.
I wanted to ask everyone in the railroad community, do you have any photos or even videos of the 3751 during its first mainline run, the 2 trips to the Grand Canyon Railway and also shots of the locomotive in action in the last 10 years?
If you do, would it be possible, may I publish some of the material in this project please?
Whatever you can come up with would be very much appreciated, there are still a few more Santa Fe steam locomotives that need to be filmed for this project.
All photographers will be credited in the finished video.
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it.
Best regards
Rowan Kinnane
