Runnin' Late

While visiting the station at Ft. Langley, I had the W B - VIA #! - come rockin and rollin through at approx 11.30 a m. This one caught me by surprise - as nothing moved at all for a long time. I put most of my stuff away and only turned and fired with the P and S - the only thing out of the bag. It does show the two paint colours of the locos - even on a showery day. This is why my shutter speed is not the best.

Great capture and exposure. This one could have been a tough one to balance the exposure on, with the lighter clouds and then the lights near the center of the frame.

Sometimes Grab Shots are the most rewarding.

I worked on this doing a b/w first in HUE/SATURATION using a 24 part GREY SCALE on the side of the lead loco - MATCHING MID GREY on the SCALE to the MID GREY on the LOCO SIDE.

Then when I started to return colour - I used both HUE and SATURATION TOOLS to MATCH THE GREY COLOUR LEVEL of the LOCO SIDE as close as I could. I used a MAGNIFYING GLASS to help in this task.
