Richard Steinheimer has passed away

Richard Steinheimer, certainly one of the greatest railroad photographers passed away today May 4th, 2011. He will be missed.

Great work, great man. Grew up with his pics in Trains and R&R.

He was as nice a man to talk to,as his pictures where to look at. A regular at the Sacramento train swap meet....He'll be missed,but his great work,hopefully will live forever.

This is so true; I've met him a couple of times at Winterails of the past and he was extremely gracious and personable. A great loss....
