I am not sure about the best place to ask this but… I am looking for a retirement gift for a fellow Carmen who is set to retire early summer. What I am wanting is a two model locomotive display; one Union Pacific and one Southern pacific, each with numbers relating to his hire year and his retire year. Something that can be placed on a desk or over the fire place. Any ideas where I could have this made?
Probably a pair of inexpensive switch engines would fit the bill. Here's a link to a man that does custom painting, I'm sure he can put numbers on a pair of already-painted units, and come up with a display track:
