I haven't posted much lately as I have been busy. Since I have a lot of shots not yet posted here I thought I might as well show them now.

First up are shots from my trip to Louisville, KY, way back in October.

Next up are two quick photos from a long chase. We covered over 200 miles in a day to catch the Western Pacific heritage unit in two spots. The first is from Marion, MO, west of Jefferson City. The second is about 100 miles down the track at Pacific, just as the sun was setting.

Next is a morning chase of the Penn Central heritage unit on grain train 54A. The lead unit, NS 8000, is the class unit for NS' ES44ACs, and I caught it back in September trailing the Wabash heritage unit (odd how that works out). Strangely enough, the train hit a semi truck in Mt. Carmel, IL, about 50 miles east of our last photo location.

A week later, I got word that the PC and NKP heritage units were on the same coal train. However, the PC had to go north to assist another coal train. Around sunset, we shot the NKP in golden light. We almost got a perfectly lit shot of the Penn Central, but it arrived about 10 minutes after the light was gone. Still, we stayed around for night shots.

Up next is one of the last Conrail SD50s, and (maybe) some Santa Trains in Central Illinois!

Really awesome Photography stlgevo51!!! I really like that street running, but the one that really stands out is the sunset shot of the coal train with the other train passing behind it! Excellent Shot!

Good stuff Jake! Especially like those street running shots from (I assume) LaGrange. Got to get up there one of these days..
