Only gasolinengines with manual transmissions.
In China I saw a 1-cylinder Diesel engine (farm tractor) which probably could have been push-started. Probably hand-crank started.

I have push started an Alco S1 with another locomotive. It isn't all that difficult.

We were in the trucking business, hauled cattle and oilfield equip. Used to back 2 trailers together and give the one that would'nt start a little push, fire right off even in cold weather like 10 degrees.

How does that work if no direct drive transmission?
Thank you.

Some early gasoline engine automatic transmissions could be push started as well

The traction motors would need to be used as generators to turn over the main generator over as a motor. But remember, it's You Tube.
In the steam days when roller bearings were breaking into the railroad market there were staged events with people pulling a locomotive with ropes. Timken did it with the Four Aces and women from a nearby office in Chicago. New York Central staged a picture with a crew pulling an L1 or L2.
In theory three people could exert enough force to move a diesel locomotive. But moving at a speed sufficient to generate enough voltage to turn over the prime mover...I really doubt.
I'd suspect it's on a grade ready to roll on it's own. Conductor Boris kicks off the hand brake and Engineer Ivan out of sight behind the hood cranks it up.
Hey it is on youtube it as to be real. lol
One time I had a couple of my coworkers push start my old style VW Bug.

The idea is to connect two of the traction motors to the start field winding in the main generator. The residual magnetism in the motors cause them to act as generators and spin the main generator. There is a bit more to it than this, like setting the reverser opposite to the direction of travel, but that's the basic idea.
