Hump? What Hump??? OK, couldn't resist... I will agree although I am not a big fan of the high hood, but I still like them... We had a lot of GP38's here for the local jobs, but I don't know what they are using these days, it's been a bit since I've been trackside. Nice pictures...
 
I like the GP30's because that "hump" distinguished them from the hordes of near look-alike GP35/38/40's that roamed the rails back in the 70's and 80's. I still see rebuilt GP30's powering locals on the BNSF Scenic Sub mainline that runs through my town of Edmonds between Seattle and Everett. Hard to believe these units are over 55 years old and still running strong.
