I am brand new to the forum. My grandfather worked on the PRR as an engineer (I am told) and received the pictured watch. It is a rather low quality Elgin model 303, 12 size.
The cotton pouch intrigues me. Can anyone shed some light on the Keystone with Co inside? Much appreciated.

If you look at the inside of the back of the watch case, you will probably see a similar symbol as on the bag and/or the word Keystone. This is the company that made the watch case. It is not a reference to the Pennsylvania Railroad. The bag is what the case was shipped in.
As you stated, it is a rather low quality watch. There are very few jewels in it. It doesn't even show a jewel count on it. The only one I see is on the balance staff; the rest appear to be metal.
The watch was the Timex of its day. Cheap, but kept decent enough time.

Thank you so very much for your response. I thought as much!
