I did some lurking in DeRidder, LA today and found some of the older railroad related things that city had to offer. I failed to get a photo of the KCS brick depot now a chamber of commerce office and their stainless steel caboose adjacent to the main track a few blocks up the KCS main.

SD60 and old time gated crossing for the KCS and TIBR diamond (Timber Rock)ex-ATSF Oakdale Sub.

Tommy, that gate it something to see at night with all those red lights illuminated. There's a light bulb in the switch target light at top also.

Thanks Marlin. It's the only gated crossing south of Shreveport on this part of the KCS. The normal position has always been againt the ATSF-TIBR since they run the fewest trains.
