Nice. You are lucky. To think I've driven the level crossing where NY79 crosses that line near Whitney Point, to and from Ithaca more than 100 times since the 70s, and never seen a train. Where is the level crossing at the beginning of your video?

A couple of questions: What is the "ticking" sound the locos are making around the 1:50 mark? You hear the same thing later in your video.

Is that a south-bound? I guess it continues on the old Erie line into NJ? Any idea what's in the grey hopper cars and who the customers are?
 
That ticking it the air dryer. I think on that locomotive the air pressure might be a little high, they shouldn't be going non stop like that.

The su99/100 from New Jersey to Binghamton goes does run the old Erie line. The line from Binghamton to Syracuse is the old Lackawanna line north. Great rail fan territory
