I'd like to see a mixed freight some time soon. But, there's nothing but coal trains on the Hannibal Sub lately. It's the life blood of the country I guess. These are from the last couple days. Can't wait till the heat breaks here in Missouri.
Bill
I haven't been up on the Hannibal Sub lately. Is it busy? Too bad more general freights aren't running.
Nice shots Bill. Heat should be gone soon. Was in the 90s here Friday and this am it's only 48-feels good

What is an "HFI". The sign I photographed in picture #3 is meant for train crews. It stated that the crossing had a high rate of HFI incidents. I am assuming HFI means something like Human Fatality Incidents or something else that could ruin your day. It is definitely a very wierd crossing there. The tracks are elevated and the road crosses at a very sharp angle. If you cross the tracks, there is a possibiity that a train is coming from almost directly behind you.
Good shots Bill.
HFI: Human Factor Incidents. But could be human fatality incidents.
