Hi all, I've been an active modeller and railfan for some years now and am modelling in N scale modern CN and CP RRing in Western Canada. I've taken an interest in the Emerson Sub area but the info I have is skimpy at best.
I'm curious as to what trains come up from the states as delivered by BNSF and Soo and are these trains left as one unit or are they broken down? Where?
Do any of these American trains go west (Canada) - as a unit or broken down?
How do these trains end up with CN or CP, all at Emerson?
Do CN and CP send trains down through the Emerson area to the states?
And lastly, what main industries are there in Manitoba that are added to CN and CP heading west - I assume added in Winnipeg?
In the up coming months I will be shooting some pics in the Lower Mainland area of Vancouver and into the Fraser and Thompson canyon locations and posting them here.
