I just looked at the Roanoke RailCam at 12:30pm EST and their business cars are sitting on the nearest track with what appears to be employees/families getting on or off. Over the past few days they had laid some gravel along the side of the track which I had no idea what it was for, but apparently it was to facilitate baording.
An employee special perhaps?

1:27pm Train reversed about 1/2 a car length, then stopped and let off an older couple who perhaps hadn't gotten off from the previous trip.

1:31pm Train is again reversing heading for the yard. I'm probably the only one that didn't realize that they were running a steam excursion today. lol The Southern 630 led a nice consist that included two diesels and a good string of varnish.
Apparently this same consist was doing these runs in Bristol, VA a few days ago.
Of course, while I typed this, the train headed back east crossing over to another track so I missed the runby. lol

The train is back again at 5:30pm EST. Too bad it's pouring down rain right now. I feel bad for the passengers!

And at 6pm it departed. Sounds like it went to Lynchburg today and will depart at 11am tomorrow for the same trip, returning at 3:30pm. Looks like tickets are still available.
