Howdy all,
My name's Matt and I'm a new member from Dallas, TX. I'm a late-blossoming railfan (just getting started in my 30's) who got into trains courtesy of my little guy (almost 3) who's completely train-obsessed. I guess a little bit of his enthusiasm has rubbed off on me.

We're still very much just learning how to find trains.

Fortunately, Dallas seems to have lots of really cool railfanning opportunities.

Any tips or tricks for the newcommer would be most appreciated!

Hello welcome to the forum. Even though I'm not from the Dallas area I would suggest a trip over to Saginaw. Very good action ( BNSF, UP and Amtrak) and also a safe location.
