Dooh! And here I thought it was a great day! First decent day in February that I didn't have to work, first CN units to shoot this year, first Prince Rupert coal train. Oh well, two out of three isn't bad.

So did they do bring down CN units for the first one too? Is this going to be the norm?

What is your malfunction?
Must be for the C DKMNWE0 01A due into Auburn tomorrow night(2/20) between 2210 and 2230 or so.

The power comes down on an empty and the Auburn job switches it out and wyes the power on the Stampede sub so its ready for the next train north so i think thay dont have to mess with redoing the DPU setup

so, unlike the E-RBE empty coal out of roberts bank which go via scenic, these empties will go to auburn and then...down around the horn or over stampede, do you know which?

According to TrainOrders, http://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?1,2397007, these came down on the EVEVAW.

If the first northbound just left Auburn a couple of days ago, it hasn't had time to come back as an empty. Until they get enough sets in the cycle, the EVEVAW would probably be the train to watch for CN power.

The empty, E NWEDKM0 02A will arrive at Auburn on the 23rd around 1630 or so and will head east via Stampede, ETA at Kanaskat around 2254 or 2300.

Here's the CN power sitting at Auburn WA for the second BNSF/CN Prince Rupert export coal train.

Judging by the shadows, you showed up just after I finished conditioning the power for DP. The power is for C-DKMNWE0-03 due into Auburn around 2100 tonight. The C-DKMNWE0-01 is due in aorund 1800 tomorrow.

The time on the pictures is off by one hour. I forgot to reset the time last fall and I keep forgetting, but by now it's a little late. I was there from about 8:45am to 9:30am, I had to wait for shadows to move off the 2312.

Do you know when the power for number 3 is going to show up? It's supposed to be right behind the second train.

Looks like the power is on the M-PRGEVE1-20 showing at Swift at 1330, so I would guess tomorrow morning sometime. The power will be:

CN 8840
CN 8803
CN 8861
CN 2253

The power for the 3rd train was at Auburn this morning, parked at the south end on the west side the power for the 2nd train. They must have brought it down light overnight. Didn't see a train of rapid discharge cars, so the 2nd train must not be here yet.

The second CN coal train will be heading north out of Auburn around 1200 today. The switch crew will throw out a bad order then had it over to the 0900 K crew to take to Everett.

This second train was all TILX gons, except for a couple BNSF gons at the rear, unlike the first train, which was reported to be rapid discharge cars.
