Hello All, My grandfather made a 3/4 scale Hudson Type Coal Steam Locomotive back in the 40's 50's - Blueprints are 9-6-1939.... he made the track and engine. It is stored and I rode it as a young boy 55 yrs ago. If I wanted to have it displayed with a plaque in his honor, is there some organization or museum that you can suggest? He was a machinist and manufactured each part.
Thanks. He belonged to a Live Steamer group (he lived in Illinois) Ralph Germaine. Is that group still's a stretch but have to ask.

Welcome to the Forum. Things depend on where you live. The Hesston Steam Museum in Michigan might enjoy it. Illinois Railroad museum. Any number in the Chicago area. If you want a local live steam group to have it, type in Live steam on the internet and look for one in your area. Any idea what railroad the design came from? There are groups for pretty much every railroad. Depending on the boiler condition a live steam group might want to fire it up and run it. If nobody wants it I'll come and get it and display it in my train room. As a semi-professional machinist I would be interested in seeing some pictures of it. Tom Z

Photo Critiques Welcome
The only club I can think of in Illinois with 3/4" scale track is the Illinois Live Steamers near Lockport IL .
