Hello everyone, I finally got the call for my start date at the redi center. I will be starting training to become a freight conductor next monday and was just curious if anyone could let me know what to expect at the Redi center. I am totally new to the railroad, was military before getting hired on here. I am pretty much looking at this like a life long career. I know they say the hours are rough and all that but like I said I was military before with 2 combat deployments and stationed in Korea so I know I can manage the hours. I was also wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect in the way of daily duties for a freight conductor once I actually start working. Any help would be appreciated, thanks is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to - An online railroad bookstore featuring a curated selection of new and used railroad books.
