For the past several months I’ve been working on a free website to help the railfan community track any locomotive, car, or train anywhere in North America. One of the unusual things about this site is that everything is maintained and updated by the registered users (though you don’t have to register just to look around). The site includes profiles of locomotives, cars, and trains; maps marked with sightings; and the ability to upload photos. It is designed to be usable on both computers and mobile devices.
Since I’ve been busy building the site, initially you’ll only find a few of my own sightings I’ve entered to help show what the site can do, but that’s why I’m posting here – to try to find some people interested in helping to get the ball rolling and make this effort a success.
