With the announcement of the Illinois Railway Museum Nebraska Zephyr runnining on the BNSF mainline from Chicago to Galesburg in late September I have been doing some research on where to maybe get some shots of the Zephyr.
I understand that the BNSF is replacing the old CB&Q signals with LED signals on the line. However I believe that there still might be some old CBQ signals left.
I heard there might be some still standing between Wataga and Galesburg. I also was told of some near the Keokuk Junction in Bushnell ??
I think it would be neat to get a shot of the Zephyr with the old CBQ signals in the shot. If anyone can help with maybe some better locations or even mileposts that would be great !!
Thanks,
Keith Schmidt
