Steam Chaser
Last Saturday, I did a little railfanning for National Train Day. Here are the shots:
The museum of Transportation's oldest locomotive, the Daniel Nason, celebrated its 153rd birthday. In the background is ATSF 5011, class unit for one of the greatest steam locomotive classes in history.

We did some hiking to find some new spots, but we didn't find anything good. Afterwards, we headed to the new railfan park in Pacific. The park was having an open house, and I got to go on the roof for an empty coal train.

We stuck around for a BNSF intermodal train, but this UP manifest came through first.

Finally, the BNSF train raced through, with a patched SP unit trailing.
