Northern Pacific (Railway) University?

I was riding my bike past the U of Washington (Seattle) campus last friday evening on the popular Burke-Gilman trail. As the locals know, it was built on a former Northern Pacific branch. To my annoyance, a film crew had part of the trail blocked, forcing a short detour. As I was going past the film crew after getting back on the trail, I noticed that among the film props were several vehicles lettered with a fictitious college name, Northern Pacific University.

I wonder if they were aware of the railroad connection with that name? I should have asked one of the film crew if the college offers on-line degrees in NP-style dispatching and telegraphy.
