McCloud #25 on OCSR.

For your enjoyment here are some photos of McCloud #25 on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad's Coastal Excursion. A couple of the train in Garibaldi between runs. The others are next to Tillamook Bay at an area called the "Three Graces" for the rocks out in the water.

I was told by a very reliable source that this locomotive was purchased for about $450,000

First off, Aaron- thank you for posting the pictures.

Second, to setxrailfan- not sure what you're trying to do or say with your comment. The publically announced asking price on the #25 back in November 2008 was $650,000. It pains me to see this locomotive leave McCloud, but I'm very happy it went to an organization that can take care of it.

Jeff,
I beleive that most, if not all, of the OCSR crew that moved 25 from McCloud felt some disappointment at removing the engine from its home of 86 years. It was a bitter sweet moment when the locomotive pulled out of McCloud for the last time, on a truck. It is taking us a while to get used to running the "new" engine, however we certainly enjoy having it. I hope you get a chance to come and see her.

Aaron- I'm sorry we missed it this year, though we did have a good time.

We will try to make it back up there next year.
