There is a great youtube video still online of the Big Boy being welcomed to Waterloo with the Fire Department on each side of the tracks at the main street crossing, shooting their water cannons over the Loco as it passed. I am hoping someone knows someone that was there, preferably with pics of the Big Boy from the front as it passed under the great water arches. The video was from quite a ways behind the loco, but is still very cool. I have never seen this done, or pics of it being done, for any other locos. Planes and Boats, yes, but never a behemoth of a steam locomotive. Who planned this? Surely they must have great photos?
