I have a locomotive bell that is a brass bell, about 18 or so inches high with a silver stand. It looks as though an ordinary bell, HOWEVER, on the OUTSIDE of the bell there are dings, looking like a clanger was used on the outside instead of the inside. Has anyone ever heard of this before?! Also, the number on the bell is 12S15.

How long have you had this bell? Do you know where this bell would have been used (US, Europe, etc.)? That might help us figure out more about it.

We have no idea where this bell is from, we got the bell from an estate in Ohio.
