Hi Guys
I have added to my collection a model of the ALCO RS-1 switcher locomotive of the Kansas City Souther line by ATLAS
THis unit has a RED overall paint and is numbered 1112 i believe this paint scheme is known as Deramus paint job
Does anybody know for sure when was first introduce?

Looking in my KCS books, it appears to be about 1966-67, or close to that. I did find a picture of it, roughly 19 months before it was traded to EMD. It was the only one to be painted red. (Sited: Kansas City Southern, Color Pictorial, Steve Allen Goen)
