The Issaquah Valley Trolley has recently had one of their trolley car completely restored. That renders this car surplus.

It's on sale on Craigslist. "One owner, low miles, only driven on weekends". Ok, I made that bit up, but it really is for sale on Craigslist...

Milan interurban car 96 has quite a storied history. Produced in Milan Italy in 1930 it was one of only 4 cars in a series of Peter Witt styled trolleys. Cars 93-95 are rumoured still moth balled in the Milan Transit bone yard. Car 96 was imported to San Francisco in 1986 for the historic "Muni Trolley" festival. Issaquah historical society purchased the interurban for restoration. She received a new coat of paint and was placed on a side rail while restoration on another smaller electric trolley proceeded. Given the limitation on our non profit organization the Car 96 is now being offered for sale to individuals or organizations committed to preserving this historically significant unique electric interurban tram.

Specifications: Seating for 36 passengers, double seats one side, single seats other side. Wt 62,831 lbs Propulsion 4 electric motors
45' long, steel body construction, wood and canvas roof, center doors on both sides, train doors at each end, double-end operation
Designed for interurban use and served as a motor car to pull non-powered trailers Available with or without trucks, track sections available

Offer:
Car 96 is being offered as is no guarantee. It needs total restoration. Moving expenses will be the responsibility of the winning bidder and could be extensive. Obviously we would prefer car 96 be restored to maintain this historically significant electric tram, but the historical society would consider its sale to an entrepreneur with other marketing plans ie roadside historical diner, espresso stop, or barber shop? Rail sections to mount Car 96 will be available at no additional cost. Opening bids at $20,000.00 and willing to entertain all offers.
