An empty Talgo was traveling south on the B'ham sub this morning. Went by Fir/Conway at about 7:15. Had an Amtrak engine on the point, the cars were totally empty of passengers and personale, no locomotive/power car on the rear. Was moving closer to freight train speed, maybe even a bit slower.

Last nights 517 was cancelled due to equipment problems and did not get very far outside of Vancouver last night causing 510 to be cancelled this morning. I don't know that nature of the problem, but the Mt. Hood trainset was having brake issues last week (the brake on the bistro was sticking) probably unrelated though.
