I thought I would share some images from my recent outings from the Omaha area. Two of them were taken near Oreapolis and the other two were taken on the BNSF Creston sub. Last weekend on the Creston Sub was the first long railfaning trip my dad and I have done since we lived in California over 5 years ago. There was a lot of traffic and I will have to visit the line more often.

Thanks for looking.

1. A loaded UP coal train climbs the grade outside of Oreapolis on a beautiful Saturday morning. This train was struggling to make speed, but put on a good show.

I sure do like the McPherson shot. Has that "farmy" feel. Yeah, there are many photogenic spots on that line. Long ago HWY 34 was alongside the tracks most of the way, but progress moved it. Some of the old hwy still west of Emerson and maybe some other spots. Haven't been that way in years. Thanks for posting.
