how often would a new conductor with Canadian Pacific Railway work

What would one be guaranteed for hours in the first week or on average
if they kept themselves open to all call ins etc

this would be for Northwestern Ontario, canada.

In that part of Ontario I'd imagine you would be on the road as opposed to the yard. If that's the case, you can only work up to 3800 miles a month. Some guys giver. Double out etc and then take a few days/ a week off once they're off for miles. In the yard, it's just 40 per week basically. The company doesn't like handing out overtime. The first few years though, you won't work as much.
