Hello to all rail fans and employees. I am now 69 years old. I have never worked for the C&NW but the 4 generations before me all did. My dad took me with him quite often weekly or bi-weekly. From riding in the Madison WI Steam engines w/Hieny Litzenburg the engineer. To the "400" from Madison to Winona, MN. To the long freights (82&95) from Winona to Adams, wi. and back. Slept alot in cabooses, ridden in all types of engines. For my 5th birthday I Got put on the burlington zepher alone in Madison and took it to california to visit my aunt and go to Disneyland. I still have my original Railroad pass. When I was 12, I Took the L&N alone to Atlanta, GA to spend time with my other aunt. So I'm kind of a Railroad Brat.
