Greetings all,
My name is Chris and as my name says I am the 5th generation in my family. Most is with my Mom's side but I have a couple on my dads side too uncluding my Dad who retired from UP. The RR's spanned across the country and include PRR, P&LE, SP & UP. I'm a Machinist at the Roseville CA Locomotive Plant. I started straight out of high school and after 2 years I got an apprentiship. Some people call me "The Youngest Old Timer" because I hit it just right. They highered a lot of people below me and a ton have retired from above which allowed me to get daylights and Sat/Sun off with in a few years. I also have a great knowledge of the railroad as well as my craft thus helping with my nickname.
Well enough about me, I'm glad to be here and look forward to sharing and learning!
