A Portland, Oregon area railfan at Vancouver, Washington has spotted what looks like one of those Vancouver, BC to Modesto unit trains with the BNSF 4856, BNSF 4029, BNSF 6834 & CN 5690 on the front with BNSF 5370, BNSF 670 & BNSF 5336 as the rear DPU's.. This train is leaving Vancouver, Washington now according to the BNSF Fallbridge ATCS.. All cars are gray CEFX, TILX, etc..

Purely speculation that it will be in the morning hours nearing Bend, Oregon, though looks like he has almost a clear run to Wishram.. Will keep updating as to his location this afternoon..

Not real sure but at 6am this morning I think it rolled thru Lapine. Was warming up our equipent in the logyard and if it was it met a northbound at Beal siding which is next to our yard. Hard to tell tho as it was still dark. Wish I was at home since my property borders the BNSF yard in Klamath Falls. I would have seen it for sure!

Oregon Trunk Yahoo! Group

A few months ago I started a Yahoo! Group for Oregon Trunk railfans. Just a couple of us fans from the Bend/Redmond, one from Biggs, and one from Pasco, so the group it hasn't been too effective as a "heads up" tool, since we all live so close.

Looking for others who live along the OT or Gateway Subs., or up in the Gorge or I-5 corridor that want to share info on what's coming.

All are welcome to join, if you're just curious or will be railfanning the trunk!
