CN 8851,CN2577,BCOL 4601,N/B OT,departed Bend,around 11;00 AM.....Also BNSF 6020 Depating Bend,right now also has CN unit in consist.
Woot!! Thanks for the heads-up!! Lets see if I can catch 'em this time!

CN/BC Rail on the OT Sub.
I caught it in Bend this morning. Due to EXTREME backlighting, I was only able to photograph the BC Rail Dash-8 thanks to a convenient tree that offered my camera some shade to shoot from.
I understand the BC Rail Dash-8 was leading in California, but is now trailing. Wonder if the crews didn't like it for some reason and it got turned in Klamath Falls?
MP 72 - BNSF Spokane Sub.

Rob and all,
No, the BCR locomotive had a failure enroute.. I suspect that they wyed it at Klamath Falls..
Also, there is/was O LGBWIS2 01 with the BNSF 7555.. WIS does stand for Wishram, Washington. From there, the rumor is that it was going west to Vancouver and north towards Tacoma/Seattle.
I don't have any idea of where it is right now.. Maybe a rail could give an update..

The 7555 with officer's car special came into Bend about 5:30 Thursday afternoon, heard it was tying down here for the night.
Will try to get out early Friday morning and shoot it if it's still here.
Will advise.
In addition to the n/b empty grainer with CN/BC Rail power, we had another n/b manifest with two ES44AC's (6020 was leading) and a a CP Rail AC4400CW in the beaver scheme. Not often we see ES44AC's here, let alone two with an equally-rare CP unit.
Those two combined with the Officer's Special made for an interesting day here.
OCS Train went by me 5:45 AM,sunrise today was 5:36,i got to my location at about 5:40AM,it was close....This trian should be at Wishram around noon???...PS, got up at 4AM to bag this sucker.
Where is it heading after Wishram?

Stainless sure looks good on a sunny day. By the time I arrived at my planned spot for some pictures of the Special, they were already waiting at Celilo.
While they were waiting for clearance to cross the Celilo bridge, some of the officers were outside getting some fresh air and stretching their legs.
I chatted with one of them and he said they were heading west, to Vancouver.
Here are some of the pics I was able to get today.
1) I had hoped to capture some views of the special exiting Tunnel #1, similar to this one of a string of well cars from a couple of days ago.
2, 3, 4) These guys are moving right along. At 10:10 they were already stopped at Celilo, waiting for clearance to cross the bridge.
Well rumor has it,it might go to Tacoma/Seattle (per SP&S's post),Wishram ,hardly seems like a final destinations.
5) Those are some deluxe window wipers!
6) Crossing the lift span.
7) Entering the Wye’s west leg
8) Off they go, at 10:17
If they to the left leg of the wye, i guess it's a good bet they be going Seattle way.Nice shootin Mr Cliffs.
